კონკურსის შესახებ:

The USAID Economic Governance Program is a five-year USAID funded Project implemented by Deloitte Consulting LLP in Georgia since December 2019.

The purpose of the USAID Economic Governance Program is to improve economic governance and leadership in Georgia. Good economic governance is defined as a system for developing, implementing, and enforcing economic policies, rules, and regulations that are predictable, consistent, transparent, inclusive, and cost-effective. Building on the progress of the government`s economic reform agenda, this program will support the sustainability of the consultative economic reform-making process and promote the formulation, adoption and implementation of priority economic reforms.

It is expected that with improved economic governance, Georgia will be recognized for its transparent, predictable, and inclusive business environment and will attract investments that can fuel the country`s journey to self-reliance in the future.

The USAID Economic Governance Program is pleased to release a grant opportunity announcement: YOUTH DEBATE CLUBS ON ECONOMIC REFORMS (RFA# EGP-2023-006)

RFA summary and funding opportunity:

Under this solicitation the Program will issue a grant to a local organization operating in Georgia to implement Youth Debate Clubs on Economic Reforms. The program will be a combination of theoretical/classroom studies, meetings (in-person or distant), practical exercises, simulation games and discussions. It will give the participants an opportunity to get involved in major economic reforms undergoing in the country. Participation in these activities will give the youth insight into important policy issues that will directly affect their future lives; they will be able to develop skills in critical thinking, analysis and public speaking. To further raise awareness on the importance of economic policy advocacy, the Program strongly encourages streaming of the debates through an economic-profile media outlet.
The objective of this Grant is to raise awareness among young people on economic reforms and build their capacity to participate in economic policymaking through developing a debate culture.

The Program anticipates awarding one Small Grant in response to this RFA with the funding limit up to USD 40, 000 equivalent in local currency (GEL).
