Call for Participants to Join Media/CSO Twinning Programme:
The Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) - the UK`s leading democracy support organization, is pleased to announce a call for participants for Media/CSO Twinning Programme under UKAID supported "Advancing Environmental Protection, Climate Change, and Democratic Resilience in Georgia" programme. WFD extends an invitation to journalists in the Georgian media, producers, media specialists, and civil society organizations with an interest in environmental and climate change issues to join the program. This initiative provides media professionals with the chance to enhance their skills in grant writing and fundraising, while civil society organizations can benefit from guidance in developing media relations mechanisms and improving communication effectiveness.
The two-day twinning program will be held on March 16-18, 2024. Please note that March 16 and 18 are the arrival and departure dates.
The working languages of the Twinning Programme are Georgian and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
As part of the program, participants will benefit from the guidance of both international and local consultants who will serve as mentors. These experienced consultants will offer real-time advice on various aspects, including the creation and execution of grants, effective communication strategies, and the development of media content ideas, concepts, and implementation.
Throughout the interactive sessions, participants will engage in discussions covering a diverse array of topics. These include effective communication strategies and the implementation of projects related to environmental and climate change issues. The sessions will also explore adaptable approaches for creating information packages tailored for the media and the art of storytelling through visual techniques. Moreover, media representatives will acquire skills in crafting successful grant applications and implementing projects, along with techniques for sourcing pertinent evidence-based information for project development and execution.
